Apple Community Development Corporation (Apple CDC) was founded in 2016 in Arlington, Texas, with the goal of making an economic impact in the communities where we serve. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we provide technical assistance to non-profit organizations, small businesses, and entrepreneurs, and work to give access to capital to underserved communities and minorities.
In partnership with SCORE Fort Worth, SBDC, and SBA, Apple CDC has achieved tremendous success in its mission, from offering over 361 classes with an enrollment of over 7,200 people primarily in downtown Arlington to creating over 200 non-profit organizations in Texas. We have also created at least 1000 new businesses in Texas, mentored over 600 clients, and assisted these companies and organizations in receiving over $5.0M and $3.0M in government contracts and grants, respectively.
We are currently in the process of applying for Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certification and envision submitting the application by April 2023 under the new guidelines. Our focus remains on providing professional business education and services to small businesses while furthering our commitment to the local communities.
